Course Explanation
What Is Kickboxing?
Kickboxing is a striking-based martial art and combat sport that combines boxing-style punches with different kicking techniques. Depending on the style and rules, training may also include knee strikes, combinations, defensive movement, and controlled sparring.
A typical kickboxing program teaches stance, guard, footwork, punches, kicks, combinations, distance management, timing, defense, and physical conditioning. Students learn how to generate power while maintaining balance, control, and proper technique.
Kickboxing is practised for competition, self-development, physical fitness, technical skill, and recreational exercise. Beginners do not need previous martial-arts experience, but they should progress gradually and learn correct movement before increasing speed, intensity, or contact.
Training Safety
Martial-arts training should progress gradually. Students should inform their instructor about injuries, medical conditions, or physical limitations and seek appropriate medical advice when necessary.
