Course Explanation
What Is Voice & Solfège?
Voice training develops the coordination required for singing with greater control, accuracy, expression, and confidence. It may include posture, breathing awareness, vocal warm-ups, resonance, articulation, range development, phrasing, interpretation, and repertoire.
Solfège is a method of developing musical reading and hearing through syllables such as do, re, mi, fa, sol, la, and ti. It helps students recognize pitch relationships, sing written music, understand scales and intervals, and connect what they see with what they hear and produce vocally.
Voice and solfège support one another. Vocal exercises develop the physical coordination of singing, while solfège strengthens pitch, rhythm, sight-singing, memory, and musical understanding. Training should remain comfortable and progressive; persistent vocal pain or unusual hoarseness requires appropriate professional evaluation.
